Missed payments
What happens when a payment doesn’t go through, and how to get back on track.
- What happens if a payment doesn’t go through
A missed payment doesn’t cancel your trip on the spot. It shows as past due, and you can catch up from Make a Payment, all at once or from $5 at a time. - I can’t make my next payment. What are my options?
You have options before it’s due: skip your next payment for $20, switch to smaller weekly payments for free, or move the date. Here’s how each one works. - Catching up on a past-due balance
You can catch up any time from Make a Payment, all at once or from $5 at a time. Once nothing is past due, your plan goes back to its normal schedule. - What happens if my trip defaults?
If payments fall far enough behind, a trip can default: its plan ends and automatic payments stop. There may still be a way forward, and you can ask from your trip. - Options for a defaulted trip
On select bookings, what you’ve paid can become Defera Credit, or the trip can be reinstated for a $30 fee. Eligibility may vary. Here’s how to ask. - Keeping track of your upcoming payments
Your payments are charged automatically on their dates. See what’s coming any time in your trip’s Payment Schedule, or download your Trip Statement. - What “good standing” means
Good standing means keeping up with your payment plan. While you do, your agreed-upon trip price stays protected, even if airfares go up.
