Downloading your Trip Statement

Every trip has a Trip Statement: a print-ready PDF of your booking. To get it, open Trips, tap your trip, and tap the download icon in the trip's header row, next to the message and call support buttons.

It's available on every trip, at every status, and the file is named after your booking reference. It's the easiest way to keep a record of your trip, or to share your plans with someone else.

How do I download it?

  1. Open Trips and tap your trip.
  2. Find the trip's header row, where the message and call support buttons are.
  3. Tap the download icon next to them.

Your Trip Statement downloads as a PDF you can save, print or share.

What's on it?

  • Your itinerary. Airlines, flight numbers, and dates and times for every flight.
  • Your travelers. Every passenger's name.
  • Your pricing. The pricing summary for your trip.
  • Your payment plan. Its full history: paid, upcoming and any past-due installments.
  • Your reference codes. Your Defera booking reference, and your airline confirmation number once your trip is paid in full.

Booking reference or confirmation number?

Your booking reference is the code Defera uses to find your trip. It's at the top of your booking confirmation email, and it's what your Trip Statement shows while you're still paying.

Your airline confirmation number is the code the airline uses to find your reservation, and you'll use it to check in. It appears on your Trip Statement once your trip is paid in full, at the same moment it's released in the app. So if you download a fresh copy after your confirmation number is released, you'll see it there.

When does it come in handy?

  • A receipt or printout. A record of your trip and what you've paid.
  • An itinerary to share. Send the PDF to a travel companion, a family member or anyone else yourself.
  • Proof of upcoming travel. For example, for a visa application or an onward-travel check. It shows a confirmed booking with your full itinerary and passenger names. Whether a particular authority accepts it is up to that authority.
  • Paperwork for work. A document for your employer, or for an expense reimbursement.

Is it a boarding pass?

No. Your Trip Statement is a booking statement, not a boarding pass. Once your confirmation number is released, you check in with the airline as usual.

Can you send it to a different email address?

We can't send trip documents to an email address that isn't on your account. You don't need us to, though: download your Trip Statement and send it to anyone you like.
